Mindless Babbel From a Mindfull Artist....
Web ID.

When Choosing a screen name or an e-mail address we are chosing an ID that will say something about us to those whom we send mail, chat, or even in blogging. When looking at screen names I cannot tell you the numerous times I have seen "69" & "666" thrown into a mix of characters.

Often I have recieved e-mails from people that have changed to a new account where they have incoroperated those digits. Naturally I delete it, because I have no clue who it is from. Honestly, if sending a professional e-mail with an account such as that, would you feel secure with your response back?

Gandering online I came across at site which said:
"The Top 500 AOL Screen Names. ...... 14. Tubby Biotch. 13. FriendofSatan666. 12. Hitler.
11. 2ManyXXX References. These top 10 screen names demand your respect."

Do these screen names REALLY deserve my respect?

I will admit taking pride in my screen names. They all have meaning to what I am about.

AOL: "That Karen Again" meaning: An ex's/ still close friend father didn't care for me too much. Whenever he would come and see me his father would say: "Are you going to see That Karen Again". So the screen name is an inside joke.

E-mail:
Old account- "swimpsycho39" meaning: It was my high school number in swimming. Also teammates claimed I was "psycho" for getting up at 4:30 AM to swim.... hence the name "swimpsycho".

Recent- "claystrung" meaning: I work with clay and the medium itself "strings" (leads) me along through life.

So what does your Screen Name(s) tell about you?

These are all insightful. Thanks all... you have satisfied my curiousity behind peoples screen names. Keep 'em coming.. it is interesting to know a little about everyone.

Illartist-
There is a hidden side behind every artist. Usually artists tell about themselves through their work wheather it be in writing, visual, or music. I chose "ill" as a prefix describing the twisted side of my work.

"Machivelli Incorporated", Niccolo Machivelli was the 16th century political philospher who wrote "The Prince". He is credited with the first use of secular power poltics that stressed the fact that in order for a leader to succeed, they must be inmoral, cunning, irreligous, and willing to lie. He is also the first to raise the idea that it is much more beneficial to be feared than loved.

russellmz

russell = first name
m = initial of my middle name
z = initial of my last name

funky huh?

two others i use for online games are "Experiment 626"

named after the only animated disney character to use a child as a human shield against someone shooting at him(that i know of)
very destructive, mostly incomprehensable, and often misunderstood by strangers, friends, and family
plus it takes a real fan of the movie to recognize the name

and "A Smuck"

'cause only a smuck can misspell schmuck.

JillUser is just supposed to be the female counterpart for JoeUser but I have been told I should have used JaneUser (as in Joe and Jane, Jack and Jill). I just thought JillUser sounded better

TasT was actually the first initial of my name, my wifes first initial, my brother's first initail, then the initial of our last name.

TasT Systems was the DBA of a business that my brother and I ran untill he had to take a business move to Canada, we then sold the assets of the Business but the Nick has stuck with me since 97. As for the capitolization of the last letter, my brother did that on the first run of Biz cards and it stuck also. For quite some time I used it as (TasT) to signify that negative turn that my life was in at the time but since then things have gotten much better and I dropped the ( ). I've used this nick for a long time and have grown used to it online and in the real world and at this point doubt that I could shake it if I wanted to.

Hooligan - an older nick that I used when I built a few Motorcycle websites which refered to the "naked" style of sport bikes that I rode at the time.

Teyamo - another old nick that my wife gave me when we were dating, she's from spain and couldn't pronounce my name very well. According to her it's a slang for lover. Though it could mean big A$$hole for all I know.

TasT: That's really funny! You know "tast" means "type" in Norwegian (as in typing)? Quite a fitting name for a blogger, huh? As for me - I just like the sound of it. Comes from the Coriolis Effect

Already explained it on my blog, but anyway... Mack - a logical abbreviation of "Maciek", which is my middle name in Polish, N.G.E. came about with my obsession with Neon Genesis Evangelion, an anime. I've got a few other screen names, but I don't use them here, so they shall remain unmentioned

Dharmagrl:

The dharma is the buddhist path, or way. I'm buddhist.

The grl is just an abbreviation of grl...so I suppose I'm a girl on the buddhist path.

To tell you of Muggaz origination i would have to reaveal my real name.

I wish to remain mysterious to those of you whom i have not emailed.

My email is mr_frenchy1... Thats because Muggaz was not invented at that stage. My sisters ex boyfriend started calling me Frenchy because i went to France, and spoke a little French, and then my brother and sister started, so on, so forth...

I added the mr_ because thats respectful (and hotmail didn't have Frenchy...)

BAM!!!

As did Dan Kaschel, I take inspiration from the name that Mom gave me for my screen name.

My other screen name is Chipperprime. Chipper was the name of my first pet hedgehog. Since he was first, I used the "prime" part.

oops, sorry I commented under my sisters name....hers, Lobsterhunter simply means she's desperate. Lol. On a Friends episode, Phoebe said something about your true love being your "lobster". Something about lobsters holding their little claws together or something...so yeah, we call our loves our lobsters.
