Everyday while heading across campus I have to walk past the cemetery located on the North end. Often I would chuckle, because of the irony of a cemetery located next to the Student Health Center. It is obvious the burial ground was there before the Health Center was built, but I cannot help but to question what the hell university officals were thinking when breaking ground for the new establishment.
"Geez, well this Freshman won't make it past 1st semester anyhow. We'll treat his Bronchitis with Tic-tacs."
"Look on the bright-side, at least we have his $12,000 for those Stadium light you always wanted."
*Smirks* I know morbid...
BUT... here is another case of irony on the same subject....
In my home town they send out magnets with local services/businesses, that can be placed on the fridge for easy access.
Of couse a listing of emergency numbers is first: 911, Ambulance , Police, etc....
Next on the list of course is the Poison Controll Center... Then followed by the Hospital.......But the Funeral Home "Pre-need"? To put the icing on the cake... Let's not forget the empty blanks directly below for "Important Contacts".
I know it is hard for me to think of "Important Contacts" after a Funeral Home "Pre-need " listing.
As usual the listing of local businesses proceeds...
